Captain Randall Cole2011-06-13 08:42:55Melvin was as good a man as they can get. I worked with the man many years in security. We had a working relationship and a found friend in each other. I was his Captain at Hendrickson Trailer for eleven years. I pulled a joke on him by putting a stuffed skunk outside of the guardhouse working afternoons. It was dark and he was on his rounds. He called me on the radio telling me that he could not get into the guardshack because, as he put it,Theres a big Polecat by the steps. He got him a stick and pushed it and it fell on its side. He radioed me back that I might just have a surprise heading my way. Thanks Melvin for the good times. God Bless the family and know this, He is in good hands with the Lord. That is how he got his nickname, PoleCat.
