Thomas W Hanlin

Thomas W. Hanlin, 94, formerly of Beach City, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 following a period of declining health. He was born in Brilliant, Oh, the son of the late Ira Henry and Margaret Benedict Hanlin. He worked as an inspector at the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad. Tom was a WW II Army Veteran having served in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Beach City American Legion Post #549 and a lifetime member of the Navarre VFW Post #5047. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Treva Beechy Richards Hanlin, one brother Erwin (Okey) Hanlin, two sisters, Dot Hensel and Betty (Jane) Farnsworth. Surviving are two stepdaughters, Elaine Amos of Brewster and Evelyn Swan of Wilmot, two step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Per Tom’s wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. Thanks to the staff at Country Lawn Nursing Center for the loving care given to Tom during the past two years.
