Deloris Ardelia (Majors) Griffith, 81 of Beach City, passed away in the company of her family on Feb. 7, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She’s together again with her husband of 50 years, Robert E. Griffith, Sr., her parents, Jean & Edward Majors, a son, Billy and 2 grandsons. Carrying her memory are her children, Linda & Craig Ickes, Dennis & Wanda Griffith, Kathy Lee, Bobby Griffith, Jr., and Terry & Amy Griffith. 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She’ll be greatly missed by her brother, Pat (Sybil) Majors, sisters Katheryn Majors and Karen (Don) Ewing, in laws and many of her great family and friends. In addition to her parents, husband and grandsons, she was preceded by sisters, Viola and Violet, brothers Glenn, Paul and Jim Majors. A special thanks to Shelia & the Gabriel Cancer Center Staff. Calling hours will be held, Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City from 12 to 5 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. with Deacon Wilbur Griffith officiating.
