March 25, 2010

Nettie Geneva (Berry) Warehime - Memorial Celebration Service Geneva, born January 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Crawford and Ruby Berry. On March 25, 2010 crossed from this mortal into the immortality of the cloud of witnesses till we all be reunited. The last 24 hours of her life she was surrounded by her husband Bob, our 4 children, their spouses and 4 of our 13 grandchildren, sister-in-law Margaret Whitmore, 2 precious ladies from Mercy Hospice April Hall and Sister Frances. We read scripture, gave testimony of Geneva’s love and sang songs of faith and heard inspiring words and beautiful singing from Sister Frances. Geneva was conscious till the very last and even when I quoted “The Lord is my Shepherd”, she said “I shall not want”. She was in perfect peace and not suffering any pain at that time and as she slipped quietly away; one sister said she looks as if she is smiling. As a Pastor for many years it was the most inspiring service I have ever witnessed. Our children, Brenda (Bruce) Staats, Robert 2nd.,Cynthia (Bill) Smith, Rebecca and grandsons John Smith, Kyle Rudd, granddaughters Jamie Nicole and Chelsea Gabriella all stayed the night and day until their Mom, Nana and my helpmate fell asleep. We want to thank Mercy Hospital Hospice and the Home Health Care workers for their love and compassion. We want to thank our Grandsons, Sgt. Christopher Rudd, Airman Bruce Staats and Sgt. Peter Pierson of whom she was so proud, who are on active duty for their service to America. Two more Grandsons Kyle and Anthony Rudd are leaving for the military service in about the next month. A memorial celebration of Geneva’s life will be held here at our home on ”Mother’s Day”, May 9, 2010 beginning about noon till we finish. All are welcome to share a thought, partake of the food and see some of the momentous of Geneva’s life. We are located at 100 Water St. N.W., Beach City, Oh. Memorial donations my be made to Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City, Oh.
