Kathleen J. Townsend, 72 of Beach CIty, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011. She was born in Marietta, OH, the daughter of late George and Eda McCartney Long. Kathleen was a long time employee of Superior Dairy and Comfort Care. She is survived by her children Kimberly (Jason) Gullett, Kermit Jr. (Beth) Dotson and Carl Jr. (Sarah) Townsend and by 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and Ed (Mandi) Long, Charlie (Nancy) Long, Bub (Peggy) Long, Jackie Payne, Mary Ellen Ferrebee and Edie Widder, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 1 p. m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. Interment will be made in Green Lawn Cemetery, Wilmot. Friends may call Friday, July 1, 2011 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
