She was a wife to her husband Carl S. Lang until his death in 2003 - a sister to her brother Jack (Ruby) Dibell of Beach City, OH - a mother to her four children, Suzie (Jim) Armstrong of Dundee, OH, Linda J. Miller and Marty (Susan) Lang of Dover, OH , Steve (Connie)Lang of FL-a grandmother to Amy (John) Angel of Sugarcreek, OH, Nathan (Monica) Bear of Dover, OH, Zachary (Jenny) Lang of Strasburg, OH, Zeb (Kelsey) Lang of Canton, OH and Josh (Leah) Lang of Dayton, OH , Stacey (Mark) Whittaker of Arcanum, OH, Jamie (Dean) Goedel of Fresno, OH, Gen (TJ) 0lmos of Westerville, OH and JP (Linnet) Mercano of CA - a great-grandmother to Ian and Liam Angel, Lily and Kingman Bear, Ian and Abigail, Olivia and Emilie Lang, Trea and Reese Whittaker, Bailey and Mason Goedel, Leila Halili, Maya and Paige Olmos. Jean had many friends. Some were new friends and some were lifetime friends. All of them were special to her. Jean held several retail sales positions and retired as a Deputy Clerk from the Holmes County Clerk of Courts office in Millersburg, OH. After her retirement, she volunteered her time to the grade school children of Dover, OH schools, was a volunteer at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center and was a Gray Lady at Union Hospital in Dover, OH. Jean was a Christian woman who loved the Lord and read and studied her Bible daily. She carried her faith in God to the end of her life. Jean loved to spend time with her great-grandchildren, playing games with them, reading a story to them, having tea parties with them, eating pizza together, all the while creating special memories of their time together as she had done with her grandchildren and children before them. Family was the most important thing in her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished forever. Nothing gave her more joy than to hold a baby in her arms or to hear the sweet sound of a childs laughter. None will forget the feel of her loving arms around them. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Park Village Nursing Home for their gentle, compassionate care of Jean in the final days of her life.
