Frieda Eileen Deal

Frieda Eileen Deal, 96 of Navarre passed away February 15, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family following several months of declining health. Frieda who was known to everyone as Eileen was born January 9, 1928, in Beach City, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Clyde B. and Frieda M. Baad Levengood and was a lifetime resident of the area. Eileen married the late Vernon L. Deal of Navarre on June 26, 1955, and were married for 63 years prior to Vernon’s death. She worked for the GE Company in Dover, Ohio in her earlier years. After starting their family, Eileen and Vernon farmed the family farm along with their two daughters Denise and Debbie where they also raised their Hampshire Sheep. Eileen is proceeded in death by her husband Vernon L. Deal who passed May 9, 2018, and daughter Denise who passed October 29, 2022. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debbie (Mark) Shaw of Akron. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Violet Nicsinger and Thelma Loveday and brother Clyde (Bud) Levengood. Eileen is survived by her nieces Dorothy Carroll, Connie and Woody Finzer, Bonnie Markle, Barbara and Michael Bishop, Mary Ann and Fred Miller, and nephew Bob and Monica Levengood. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Nancy Levengood. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Advantage Home Health Care and Hospice Company for their kind caring of Eileen during her declining health. They would also like to thank nieces Dorothy and Connie for all their help caring for Eileen during this time too. A service celebrating her life will be held, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:00 Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Hampshire Sheep Association, PO Box 231, 420A Lincoln St., Wamego, KS 66547 as part of the Denise Deal Memorial Award with the memorials going to the Youth Scholarship program.
