Karen Sue McMerrell, 58 of Dover passed away at her residence February 26, 2024. She was born at Massillon, the daughter of the late Homer F. and Shirley Henning McMerrell and a life resident of the area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by one brother, Jeff McMerrell. Surviving are three sons, Scott Richard Gum, Willis Paul Gum both of Clarksburg, W.Va. and Jack Willis Gum of Salem, W. Va., her twin sister, Sharon McMerrell of Strasburg, Seven grandchildren and life long partner Darryl Rainsburg of New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Karen’s life will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, 230 2nd. Ave. SE, Beach City, Oh. Interment will be made in Welty Cemetery, Beach City.
